Bunny, and bunny’s minions (us), approve!
Love the bright color. It absorbs wonderfully and is so easy to clean. No dust, no smell, and not messy like a lot of these type of products are. Our bun loves it and leaves a LOT of proof behind. He also loves to sprawl out in the fluffy stuff after he’s worn himself out running laps around the room, pissing on me and on my husband, and gorging on his hay.I will admit I was very ticked off when I saw how small the bag appeared compared to what I paid for…HOWEVER! Looks are deceiving with this product. We fill his litter box for when he’s free to run about, which is 99 percent of the time, and also his cage whenever we have to leave for a few. (He’s no longer trusted to be left out while we’re gone, because otherwise, we come home to a bed covered in bunny piss when he throws his tantrums because we DARED to leave him behind.)We got this item almost two weeks ago and still have over half a bag. And both the litter box and cage have this bedding in them at all times, ready for our master to do his business.Definitely buying again. Keep the bright colors please! And for those wondering, yes, we are aware the experts say peeing on us and our belongings (bed) is supposed to be a bunny’s way of showing love. But those experts don’t know our bun. He’s lovable as hell, no question. He’ll lick us and play with us and beg to be picked up and held. He loves cuddles, instigates cuddles, and even has a blankie (fleece handrag purchased on Amazon. Look at my reviews if you’d like to check them out.) which he carries around and snuggles with and trusts only us to hold for him while he plays. We know he loves us.But the pissing he does only when he’s mad at us. ONLY when he’s mad at us. *sigh* We’re working on this. And are open to suggestions.

A must have for small animals!
I use this in both of my rabbits litter boxes and it makes a great bedding also. It’s very safe and no harsh scent or chemicals. My Holland lop has health issues so I find it very gentle and effective for him. To stretch it out I combine pellets I purchase on Amazon also. I’ve turned friends onto that combination and they love it!

Great Hamster Bedding
We buy this bedding on repeat for our hamster. It is soft, absorbent, and nice and thick for him to burrow through. This type of bedding is much better for small animals as it doesn’t break down and cause respiratory issues like a pine bedding can. Overall it easily lasts a week for a hamster without things getting too “hamstery.” It has tons of fun colors, though we tend to stick to natural. This is a great product.

Heavy duty, and no messy dust or paper
I like this one much better than the lightweight paper versions out there. This bedding is heavier, like cardboard. So it doesn’t end up tossed out on the floor as often and it is very absorbent too.

Very good choice for Rats
I absolutely love Carefresh bedding for my small pets! The 99% dust-free claim is no joke; I’ve noticed a significant decrease in dust compared to other bedding brands. This is great for both me and my pets, as it keeps the air cleaner and reduces the risk of respiratory issues. The natural paper material is soft and comfortable, providing a cozy environment for my pets to burrow and nest in. It’s also highly absorbent, which is fantastic for controlling odors. I’ve noticed a significant improvement in the overall smell of my pets’ habitat since switching to Carefresh.Another thing I appreciate about this bedding is that it’s eco-friendly and biodegradable. I feel good knowing that I’m not only providing a comfortable environment for my pets but also making a choice that’s better for the environment.Overall, I highly recommend Carefresh 99% Dust-Free Natural Paper Small Pet Bedding with Odor Control. It’s a high-quality bedding option that provides comfort, cleanliness, and odor control, making it a great choice for small pet owners.

Great value!
I always get this for my animals off amazon because you get so much for such a good price! I’ve used a lot of varieties and this one is pretty basic but gets the job done. It’s kind of looks like shredded up card board, it’s easy to clean, doesn’t stick too bad on the bottom of the cages, still has a bit of a fluffy texture (though not as much as the white varieties), and as far as bedding goes is standard sized. It’s a very nice sized bag for the price. I am able to clean two hamster cages and a guinea pig cage with two guinea pigs in it for about 3-4 cleanings depending on who does the changing. Well worth it especially compared to some in store prices!

Best / not best bedding for Guinea pigs.
The best paper bedding I know of and far superior for Guinea pigs than other products. It is dust free, controls odor, soft for their feet and easy to keep clean. Just pick up the poop and wet spots, add clean bedding and they are good to go. Fleece can be attractive but unless changed almost daily it “smells” and while less expensive than paper bedding, I don’t have the time to do laundry almost daily. I should also note that Carefresh is a terrific company…I received several bags of inferior quality that I had ordered online made by a new supplier to them and they immediately appologized and sent me coupons for free replacements when I reported it to them. Not many companies will do that.Move ahead to May 2018…I don’t know what happened to Carefresh but their soft, fluffy paper beddding has been replaced by large clumps of hard pieces of paper that have a chemical smell and do not absorb urine as well. I again reached out to the company which again offered free coupons for replacement bags but the bags in the stores are just as bad so that was no help. I’m afraid to order online because I don’t know what I’ll receive. In the past I’ve returned bags to Amazon, Chewy and Petsmart online. I think my days of buying Carefresh Ultra are over and that is really sad.

More effective for odor
They clearly prefer softer fluffier material when given the choice, but something in this bedding is better at controlling odor.Mixing bedding seems to work well. They move all the softer stuff where they sleep, and then pile up this stuff all around them.It also seems to be overabsorbent, because it caused a noticeable change in fur texture. No health problems noticed. No problems with dust.

Nice Colors, Works Only Ok for Rat Cage
I have 4 males rats in a Critter Nation cage and this litter probably is my favorite so far, mostly due to the color options and thickness of the paper. It is slightly more absorbent than other brands I’ve tried, but nothing to write home about in terms of odor control over other brands. It starts to smell after about a week and needs to be changed more frequently than 2 weeks. I’m still hunting for a better odor control litter.

I was surprised to see how much bedding there actually was at this price! You can’t get a deal like this in stores. I’m purchasing bedding online from now on. Scent isn’t overwhelming like other products, and this natural coloring is perfect for pets. Very trustworthy brand! Amazing product, great price, will absolutely buy again!

What changed?
While changing my guinea pig cage today, I opened a new bag of the bedding. It had a strong odor that stayed on my hands after I was done. This has never happened before. Your product has always been my favorite to use. Did something change? All other bags have been a 5 star this one is a one.

Best bunny litter
My bunny loves this stuff. He won’t use anything else and at first I couldn’t understand why, but I noticed how much softer this is than other types of litter and it keeps odors trapped nicely. The only time I smell his litter is when it’s overdue to be changed. It’s easy to clean out also as it clumps together as opposed to scattering everywhere.

Say It isn’t so
I consider this to be the best paper bedding available and have used it for a long time. But this last bag; what’s with the blue cottony stuff throughout the bag? Is this a quality control issue or just another example of what I’ve heard called “shrinkflation”? Do better people! Consumers don’t deserve this!

Rough texture, not suitable for smaller pets
I’m used to buying the colored Kaytee bedding from PetSmart. I ordered this on a whim since I had run out and I needed a large amount for a guinea pig. It does what it says but it’s not very soft or visually appealing. It has extremely large chunks that cannot be broken up. If those don’t matter than it would be worth trying. Will not be purchasing again but I’ll use up what I have.

Please DO NOT BUY THIS!!!
I brought this for my hamster before I went on a trip. I always use Aspen bedding but I had used this exact brand and color before for my previous hamster for years. I thought it would be a fun little change for her enclosure. I changed her bedding and she was fine for the first several hours. We left for our trip with happy, healthy, clean pets. I had a family member check on her as well as take care of my other pets while I was gone. I came home 5 days later and saw she had food and water so I went to bed. The next morning I opened her cage and noticed she hadn’t burrowed at all. I lifted her house and she was upside down and unable to move her legs. I got her out and checked her out. It seemed like her back or legs had been injured. She was very bloated and showing signs of pain. She was walking and acting like she had had a stroke. I held her and did research. I eventually realized that the only thing that had changed was her bedding. I read the reviews and found many posts about pets having very similar symptoms to my babys. I had my boyfriend rush to the store to buy her regular Aspen bedding. Today is the next day and she looks incredibly better. She’s moving a bit better and eating and drinking again. I feel absolutely terrible for not noticing sooner and don’t want this for anyone else’s babies!!! She hadn’t even used it for a full week and who knows how long she would have had left if I hadn’t seen other peoples reviews! Please don’t buy this if you value your pets life and if you already have this, please switch back to whatever your pet was happy and healthy with asap!

Not for fluffy bunnies without a grate!!!!! It makes the poop stick to their booty
Update: This is amazing to keep smell away. BUT if you have a fluffy bunny, you needs a crate ontop of this so it does not get stuck to their fur. (The picture is with a crate ontop of litter) It gets extremely stuck so you have to give them a haircut too get it out…First review:I have a fluffy Holland lop and a lionhead they’re both very fluffy bunnies and this stuff sticks like nobody’s business. And it’s super hard to get off of their fur I had to cut most of it off. And then later it makes their poop stick somehow.

Really love this product !!! Definitely purchase again !!!
The main reason for trying this product was for my Cats. One is a 2 year old X – Large Maine Coon and a 12 year old Small/Slim Tuxedo Siamese. I kept trying diff litters and other things to make their box more natural, soft and odor free, etc. Either other products were to sting from fragrance, or to heavy of a product to use. Example, Made the trash can feel like a ton!!! And was quite costly using Umpteen bags of litter!!! Crazy!!! Esp. in these costly tines we go through! So I looked and looked at many products, prices, reviews etc.on Amazon. I narrowed it down to this product to try! I’m glad I did, I would recommend this item so much!It covers the strong and not so strong odors, plus it is so soft for both Cats to use. Fragrance free, but surely doesn’t need any!!! I too have major allergy issues and this product has helped me immensely!!! My cats like it too, esp. the older cat of it being soft!!! Who knows I may get a gerbil, or Guinea pig later on!!! Easy to handle, soft to spread out with hands. And most importantly, extremely dust free!!!! Love it!!! A++++++

Comparison of 5 bedding options for guinea pig
Here is a comparison of 5 types of bedding options I’ve tried for my guinea pig.1) EZWhelp puppy pads – Trying to save money with this reusable option, but unfortunately the guinea pig’s fur started turning yellow because it needs more “stuff” to brush up against his legs and absorb pee off them. The pads were very wet to the touch and leaking a little because the guinea pig peed so much. I suppose I could have put in some towels on top to add absorption, but by this time I was tired of having to clean hay from my washer and pet hair from my clothes. The guinea pig also would step on his poop and get it on his paws, so I had to be vigilant about removing the poop. I give these a 2 for messiness and not keeping my pet clean.2) Aspen shavings – Cheapest bedding. Nice woody smell. Not very good absorption – I can see wetness on the bottom of the cage when I scoop it. Depending on the brand, you may need to watch out for sharp pieces of wood. I give these a 3.5 for lack of absorption but good odor control and price.3) CritterCare – The little pieces feels hard like cardboard. They also get compacted easily and poop stays on top, which means the guinea pig steps on poop and frequently gets it stuck in his paws. Odor control isn’t the greatests. However, it absorbs pretty well. And wetness shows up clearly allowing me to spot clean easily. I give these a 3 for absorption but poop on paws.4) Carefresh – It is similar to CritterCare in wetness absorption and odor control. However, pieces seem softer, and it doesn’t get as compacted than CritterCare although occasionally, poop still gets stuck on his paws. I don’t like the blue bedding because it dyes his privates blue (not healthy). The white makes it hard to see and remove wet spots. Odor control is disappointing. I give these a 3.5 for absorption and texture but lack of odor control.5) Kaytee – This is basically shredded tissue paper. At first, I was so excited because it looked and felt like soft, fluffy snow. It did keep the guinea pig’s fur and paws cleaner. Unfortunately, this stuff gets very messy on your carpet when it’s on its way to or away from the cage. The pieces are so thin and small and tend to fall all over the place. It also tends to clump together, making it difficult to separate the soiled spots from clean bedding. The white color makes it hard to see wet spots. Moreover, odor control and absorption are both disappointing. I can see liquid on the bottom of the cage under wet bedding. I give it a 2 for messiness and lack of absorption. After all these tries, I decided to go back to Aspen because my husband is always complaining about odor. I’m planning to mix it with some Carefresh, as some people do, to improve absorption.

🌎Best bedding/litter box lining for my rescue bunny!!🐇
✍️🏽I was blessed with opportunity to open up my home to an abandoned baby spotted Rex bunny rabbit that was abandoned right outside of subdivision right by my house. She came into our lives when she was about 4 weeks old. I have been trying to learn about best products for our Kuuki and this is definitely one of the staple items that is awesome!! It has been many years since I had a rabbit and so much has changed. I had tried a couple other products in the beginning and was very grateful when I learned of this!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hamster bedding
Best of its kind. There is hardly any dust, perhaps at the bottom of the bag but very small amount. It smells good. A lot of the price. Hamster loves to burrow under it, so fun to watch. You will need a good 8 to 10 inches of bedding of any kind in a hamster cage. Use large cage.Do some research on cages.

Better than pellets
I’ve used the pellet litter for our rabbits, and although I loved the smell of the wood and found it to be absorbent, that smell quickly became synonymous with the smell of rabbit urine. It got to the point where I would smell pine and think I smelled urine, even when there was none. So the fact that this litter has no smell is actually a good thing for me. I’ve also used a similar version of this that was more like cardboard pieces, and didn’t find that to be as helpful as these softer shavings. There is a bit of dust that flies around when I’m dealing with large quantities of it (like when I’m emptying the bag into our large container), but it’s not really noticeable when just putting handfuls into the litter pan each day.I like the absorbency of it too. If left too long then the paper can sometimes get so wet that it sticks to the litter pan, but it’s easily scrapped off.

I’ve used other colors of this same brand of bedding, and for some reason the blue one always smells weird and kinda bad, so I gave purple a try, and thankfully it didn’t have any weird and gross smells… I tried to purchase it again recently, and for some reason its more pricey than the other colors which sucks since it’s become my favorite… oh wells.
